Windows 8 didn't Impress Users so much
Microsoft released their new windows, Windows 8 near about 100 days ago.
After three months, sales of Windows 8 have not good enough as the company were expecting. Sales graph is very low than company expectations.
A very recent report by Net Application tells us that market share of windows 8 is only 2.26 percent worldwide as compare to Windows 7 which is 44.48 percent, Windows XP has 39.51 percent and Mac OS has 2.44 percent.
However, it must be noted that 2.26 % of market share is not so bad in three months as it comes at that time when there are many others popular windows.
Microsoft revealed that they have sold out 60 million Windows 8 license so far.
Reasons of Low Market Share
However Microsoft seems to be happy with this figure of market share but they have to be worried about this that how can they capture the market and increase the number of percentage. The figure is very low due to lack of low-end Windows 8 system available right now. Another reason is that a lot of people are used to use keyboard and mouse, they feel bit awkward to use windows 8 panel.
Windows 7 popularity is another reason of low market share. windows 7 is going pretty well as it can be run smoothly on low to mid-end and affordable machines.
Its not that Windows 8 costs very high but still the users feel comfort to use Windows 7 with the use of keyboard and mouse and it works well.
Comparison of different Windows users
According to the recent survey Windows XP is going far better than others windows as it up its market share as compare to last year. Windows Vista dropped its share very badly which Microsoft didn't expect.
Here is the comparison of different windows users:
As you can see the comparison of different windows users.
Well, at the end i must say that Windows 8 still have a longer way to compete the other windows like Windows 7, Windows XP and others as it captured a the small number of market share of Windows 7 users as Windows 7 market share of last year is 45.11 % but now its market share is 44.48 %.
